Access Options

In this section you can adapt the Maintaining Standards website to meet your needs. You can:

• Change the text size
• Change the colour scheme
• Use software to enable you to listen to the text

The settings you create on this page will be saved for future visits. If you wish to return to the default settings, please select "Default text" and "Default scheme".

Change the Text Size

The DRC website has a default text size of around 11 pt (based on an Internet Explorer text setting of medium).

Choose form the following text sizes:

• Extra-large text
• Large text
• Default text

Choose a Colour Scheme

Choose one of the options below to change the colour scheme or go back to the default colour setting.

Default Colours

• Text Text Default

High Contrast

• Text Text Black on white
• Text Text White on black
• Text Text Black on yellow
• Text Text Yellow on black

Pastel Colours

• Text Text Black on pale cream
• Text Text Black on pale pink
• Text Text Black on pale blue

Speech

This site is enabled with a choice of two text-to-speech systems:

• Browse Aloud
• Read Speaker - this will create a new frame at the top of your DRC web page with instructions on how listen to the text
